We all thought that the acquisition from Sky of Amstrad would mean only one thing, a dominant manufacturer in the production and sale of Sky Digiboxes.
That hasn’t been the case to date, with no increase in product for Amstrad’s existing Sky and Sky+ models, and no introduction of a Sky+HD Digibox.
Until now! Amstrad have confirmed they are due to launch their Sky+HD Digibox ahead of schedule from next week, to help with current stocking issues due to the demand of Sky’s £75 and £99 Sky+HD deals of last and this month.
The Amstrad will be exactly the same in terms of design and features as the other models, but there will surely be question marks over it’s reliability, since the Sky+ model currently available is not exactly the best of those on the market (their standard Sky Digibox is ok).
